FAW Trust Development Centres
As part of some key changes to the girls elite player pathway, the FAW Trust Performance Centres have been renamed FAW Trust Development Centres.
The development centres sit above the grassroots game and feed into the FAW Trust Girls Academy.
There will be eight centres, spread around Wales, to ensure they’re accessible to every girl In Wales who shows potential.
The purpose of the development centres is to offer an additional training session for girls excelling in grassroots football.
From September 2021, the renamed FAW Trust Girls Development Centres will be aligned to key partners who will deliver the programme in the eight different areas.

Programme Information
All eight centres will charge a maximum of £4 per session and will offer one session per week, for a minimum of 30 weeks each season.
All sessions will be 90 minutes long.
All centres will provide quality player development sessions to help players develop their technical, tactical, physical, and psycho/social aspects of their game.
The skill acquisition program will be included to further develop the technical proficiency of players, which will be delivered by qualified coaches.
The aim of the program is to give opportunities for players to develop and progress through our player pathway and potentially be selected for our FAW Trust Girls Academy in either the North or South region.
