Football Activator Award

The first step on the leadership pathway for pupils in year 9 and above.

Designed to introduce pupils to the basic principles of leading or organising football provision, it covers the following topics:

1. Health and safety

2. Communication skills

3. Decision making & leadership

4. Exploring leadership opportunities in football 

This course can be delivered over a half term by teachers to a group of pupils in curricular or extra-curricular time. An online tutor webinar will be delivered to teachers to understand the course content and delivery models.

All candidates will receive session resources, online access to the FAW portal and a logbook to reflect on their leadership journey.
