Meet our Lidl Play More Football 100th School
One hundred schools, from across Wales, have now signed up to our Lidl Play More Football programme.
Just days before the pupils at Bryn Cellynog Comprehensive School, in Beddau, broke up for their summer holidays, we were delighted to sign them up as our 100th school.
The programme, which is designed to maximise participation among school children and develop future coaches, across Wales, has been a big hit since its inception in 2016.
In September new pupils at the valleys school will be encouraged to fall in love with football at the weekly sessions, which emphasise a healthy and active lifestyle and promote friendship building and skill development.

PE Teacher Jeremy Stock and 11 of his pupils attended a Lidl Play More Football leadership workshop which prepares them to lead the programme and deliver sessions, as Directors of Football, for younger children in September.
He said: “We’re delighted to be the 100th school to join the programme.
“Eleven of our keenest boys and girls enjoyed a great morning on the leadership workshop and we are really looking forward to getting activities underway at the school.”
