Fun Football
Our Fun Football programme provides exciting new opportunities for children to fall in love with football. Through the programme, McDonald's have committed to providing 5 million hours of fun football opportunities to children, through its Fun Football providers, who host fun and safe football sessions, across Wales, every week.

The Fun Football Charter Scheme Explained
The Fun Football Charter Scheme is a partnership programme run by the FAW Trust and McDonald’s, which regulates informal football activities, run by accredited clubs and organisations.
The emphasis of the sessions is 'turn-up and play' and 'skill development through creative football practice' and the term Fun Football is recognised by UEFA, who recognise the programme as a grassroots development initiative.
The aim of the scheme is to increase regular participation of boys and girls in a safe, enjoyable and productive environment. The charter mark is a way for organisation to demonstrate to all participants, parents, sponsors and the public that it's a well organised and safe environment, offering opportunities for everyone.
Who can get accredited?
The programme is designed to support organisations and clubs to create an informal football offer.
This will be the starting point on the football pathway for budding young players.
Successful applicants will be asked to complete the registration process by paying the annual subscription fee of 200 and will be sent the Fun Football application pack, which includes:
- DBS verification registration form
- Organisation employee list
- Organisation action plan (based on details submitted in the application form)
- Activity calendar
