FAW McDonald's Grassroots Football Awards 2022 | NOMINATIONS

The 2023 FAW Grassroots Football Awards celebrate the hard work of the unsung heroes who have kept the faith and, in some cases, kept their clubs alive, through one of the toughest years in living memory.
This year, along with our partners McDonald's, we're taking nominations for award winners, across Wales, in the following categories...
COMMUNITY CLUB OF THE YEAR
This award is for FAW Accredited Clubs that deserve special recognition for the work they do.
With this award, we recognise the clubs who are at the heart of their community and have our key values of Excellence, Family and Respect at the centre of their activity, to create safe, fun and inclusive environments for ALL.
COMMUNITY COACH OF THE YEAR
This award recognises the outstanding contribution of a coach within a grassroots club, Fun Football or FAW Trust programme.
They should have our key values Excellence, Family and Respect as the focal point of every session, the winner may be someone who goes over and above to be inclusive, encourages people starting, staying and/or succeeding in football through their passionate delivery and high-quality coaching.

Across Wales, every evening of the week and every weekend of the year, there are thousands of dedicated volunteers who keep football going.
These individuals are essential to our national game, so this prestigious award is a wonderful way to recognise the heroes.
This could be anyone with any involvement in football be it a coach, team helper, first aider, organiser or administer, someone who helps others and grows the game.
Whilst displaying our key values (Excellence, Family and Respect) this could be someone that has helped ensure children have been able to return to activity, an innovative league member that has enabled football to thrive in any window of opportunity or someone that has created additional opportunities to keep clubs and children engaged.
BEST GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL STORY
This looks to reward a club, organisation or individual(s) who have enabled a group of players or volunteers to access football and have evidenced a significant and positive social impact through engagement in football.
The winner of this award may have used an innovative way to engage with a new audience of players or volunteers, removing barriers to participation, an initiative aimed at growing the girls game, or any other football activities that have benefited society.
