At the end of an exciting season, our Wales U16 internationals were delighted to receive their first international caps.
The boys and girls gathered at Newport's Celtic Manor for a gitzy ceremony, led by Wales legends Ian Rush and Loren Dykes, and were handed their treasured caps, along with some wise words.
Dykes, who has won 53 caps for Wales, told the girls who she'd helped coach to Bob Docherty Cup glory in Dublin in 2017: "It would be wrong for me, as a player, not to give you some advice.
"You will get ups and downs. I've certainly had plenty and there's more to come.
"Only the toughest, most resilient and hard working players get to the top of the game.
"If you have those qualities, you won't go far wrong."
Rush, who won 73 caps and scored 28 international goals, said: "Never forget your dream. Believe in it and work hard at it."FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE NEXT GENERATION
