Job Title: Fun Football Coach

Responsible to: Fun Football Event Coordinator

Commitment: One day events (typically 10am – 4pm). Six events will take place across Wales in 2019, however dependant on location you may not be required for all.


Undy: Saturday June 1

Llanelli: Saturday June 8

Holyhead: Saturday June 15

Cardiff: Saturday June 22

Ceredigion: Sunday July 14

Wrexham: Sunday August 25

About the Role

The FAW Trust are looking to appoint a number of coaches to support delivery of the ‘Fun Football Zones’ at this summer’s Fun Football Festivals. The purpose of the zone is to encourage new participants to football and will include an inflatable football pitch, speed shot, inflatable dibbling arch and beat the keeper activity. The emphasis is on fun, enjoyment and taking part. The target audience is aged 5-11.

Key Responsibilities:

o To facilitate fun football type activities

o To manage an activity station 

Ideally a Fun Football Coach is someone who:

o Has enthusiasm, energy and passion for football

o Has previously worked with young children

o Is able to use own initiative

o Is self-motivated and enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude

o Enjoys interacting with a range of individuals

o Holds a minimum of an FAW Football Leader Award


o £50 event fee

o Mentor support from Football Development professionals

o Opportunity to work with the Football Association of Wales Trust, and the event sponsors’ McDonald’s.
