Why you should vote North Wales Coast FA’s Lisa Fleming for McDonald’s People’s Award 2016

Here we take a look at Rhyl Commandos coach Lisa Fleming and make the case for her winning our McDonald’s People’s Award 2016.

Following the death of Lance Corporal Michael Taylor in 2010, Rhyl Commandos FC was set up in his memory and played their football in the Rhyl and District League.

The Commandos are seen as much more than a club, they are legacy for Michael and Lisa Fleming has been key in the formation and running of the club.

Lisa, now in her fourth year with the club, is currently running the U9s, alongside Chris Thomas.

She ensures that there is always an emphasis on enjoyment over results and always fills her players with plenty of confidence in every game no matter what the score.

The club regularly receives compliments on how well behaved and polite the players are and this is down to Lisa’s efforts and dedication.

Lisa is an inspiration to others and is a true grassroots hero.
