Wales U15s (players born in 1999) play their first two friendly internationals of the season in March when Poland are the visitors to North Wales. Technical Director Osian Roberts commented “ We’re looking forward to these two excellent matches with our colleagues from Poland as they are always very close and evenly contested. It is important that our young talents get an appropriate games programme at international level and Poland certainly meets this, followed in April when we go to Belgium to play the hosts and Switzerland. I believe we have a very attacking side this year who will be enjoyable to watch and I have high hopes for them.”
Last year at the same age group, Osian Roberts' youngsters put in two excellent performances over in Poland, returning with a victory in their second game, the first Welsh youth team to beat Poland at this level.
The first game takes place at Rhyl Football Club on Tuesday 18th March with a 7pm kick off.
The Welsh Football Trust and FA Wales are pleased to confirm that the second venue for the U15 Wales v Poland game on Thursday 20th March will be at Deeside Stadium home of Gap Connahs Quay FC. The game kicks off at 7pm, adults £3.00 and U16s free.
Both games are free for U16s and £3.00 pay on the turnstile for adults.
