UEFA Pro Licence coaches analyse Welsh Premier League game for first time

The coaches of the future attended Cardiff Met v Llandudno

For the first time, a Welsh Premier League game was chosen for our UEFA Pro Licence candidates to analyse as part of their course.

The match between Cardiff Metropolitan and Llandudno, at the Cyncoed Campus, was chosen by technical director Osian Roberts to be dissected by the coaches.

He said: "They have to analyse a live game and then take part in a group post-match analysis and discussion about what they have learned and what they would do themselves in certain situations.

"They will typically do this at various levels of the game, but this is the first time we have chosen a Welsh Premier League game, and we are delighted to be here at Cardiff Met.

"The quality of football is very good.”

Dr Christian Edwards, Director of Cardiff Met Men’s Football, said the team were delighted to play in front of people like former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg.

But they were frustrated by their 1-1 draw after Adam Roscrow had given them a half-time lead.
