How we're supporting our grassroots coaches to create socially distanced sessions

Wales' grassroots coaches can freely access a series of socially distanced sessions to help them safely return to training.

We have created a range of age-group specific activities, available for free on our FAW Courses digital platform.

Coaches across Wales can now access four FAW endorsed sessions for each age-group that they can use as a framework to assist our volunteers and players through phase one of the safe return to football.

All FAW qualified coaches can access the specialist sessions on their personal profiles at fawcourses.com and should use the interactive content to engage the players they're working with.

FAW Head of Coach Education Carl Darlington said: “We have worked with Welsh Government and Sport Wales to ensure that a phased return to football can be commenced, with the safety of our players and coaches of paramount importance.

“To support our volunteer coaches in the implementation of Government guidelines, we are delighted to be able to offer them access to a series of socially distanced sessions that are freely available on our FAW Courses digital platform.

“These easy-to-follow sessions are designed to help put our coaches and parents at ease and ensure grassroots football, across Wales, can return in a fun and safe way.”
