So who’s up for the Cardiff Bay Beach Beatball Barbecue?

You get to play football, dance, eat and meet your fave presenter

Listen up Ladies! You’re all invited to the event of the summer.

The Capital FM and FAW Trust Cardiff Bay Beach Beatball Barbecue.

We want more women and girls playing football so this year we’re co-hosting the Cardiff Bay Beach Beatball Barbecue, every Sunday afternoon in August at Roald Dahl Plas.

Between 2pm and 4pm, you can join popular Capital FM breakfast presenter Polly James for some fun, football, tunes and burgers on the sand.

What the heck is beatball?

It is an exciting new game that uses dance and music to create a unique football experience.

It's designed to encourage more girls to try football and sign up to local teams.

So, what do I need to do?

Just turn up at the Bay at 2pm and join Polly in some fun football sessions, while dancing to the hottest hits.

Then, after burning off all those calories, you can grab a banger at the free barbecue.

Is there anything else happening?

Thanks to our friends at Capital FM and Specsavers, you will also get the chance to win an awesome pair of designer sunglasses.

We promise that in two fun-packed hours you will learn that football is far more than just a game.

When was it again?

Sunday August 7 – 2pm to 4pm
Sunday August 14 – 2pm to 4pm
Sunday August 21 – 2pm to 4pm
Sunday August 28 – 2pm to 4pm

Hang on, a beach in Cardiff Bay?

Yes, every summer a temporary beach is created in front of the Wales Millennium Centre.

You’ll find it right here…
