Welsh football legend and Manchester United Assistant Manager Ryan Giggs was in Wales to promote the Welsh Community Football Awards.

Ryan Giggs was recently in Wales to promote the 2015 FAW & McDonalds Welsh Community Football Awards and took time out to visit AFC Whitchurch and Risca United.

Whilst visiting the clubs, McDonald's Head of Welsh Football took part in coaching sessions and passed on advice to the young players in attendance.

The aim of the Welsh Community Football Awards is to recognise volunteers at both a regional and national level. The awards are open to people of all experience whatever their role at the club is. Perhaps they paint the lines, inspire the Under 15s to victory or ensure that there is a fixture on every week of the season.

Nominations for The Welsh Community Football Awards, presented by McDonald’s, are now open. To vote for a football club or volunteer go to www.welshfootballtrust.org.uk/awards2015

FAW TV caught up with the Welsh legend to talk about his role and his influences as a young player.
