Pengwern College joins forces with with Prestatyn Town

A leading centre for people with learning disability has teamed up with a Welsh Premier Club & could be heading to Europe together.

Pengwern College in Rhuddlan has joined forces with with Prestatyn Town FC to further the progress of the College's pan-disability football team.

The students are already set to follow the Seasiders European exploits of last summer after being invited to a UEFA tournament in Switzerland later this year.

"We at the college are very pleased to be working along side Prestatyn Town FC, with this new venture being known as Pengwern Prestatyn FC. For many years the college has been taking part in the Welsh Football Trust PAN Disability Football Festivals North to Mid Wales - we now welcome Prestatyn Town FC on board who will be running weekly training sessions for our learners and will welcome new players from the local community to come & join us" said Principal Tina Ruane.

Football in the Community Officer for Prestatyn Town FC Jack Lewis added "We currently are looking to add players to our current squad you must be 16 plus. We will be training every week at Bastion Gardens Prestatyn and entering friendly games held every month in Colwyn Bay and leading up to the the European games".
