PAWB Fund awards £8,000 for young players to play

The The FAW Trust PAWB Fund has again awarded money to families who need it the most, giving young people opportunities to play the game.

Families from across Wales will benefit from funds, raised by generous donations at Cymru matches. 

Two panels have been held to date, with 63 applications being successful, awarding over £8000, supporting 94 young people and 89 families across all regions of Wales.

The money helps provide vital equipment like boots, shin pads, goalkeeper gloves, sports goggles and contact lenses, hijabs, and travel, enabling young people to access football opportunities.

New PAWB Fund applications are now being accepted and the next panel which will be held in May. 

Applications are welcomed via referring organisations such as clubs, schools and social services, who can apply on behalf of families by downloading and completing the PAWB Fund application form.
