PAN Disability Teams Attend International Event

Two teams from Wales were invited to attend the Football Association of Ireland’s (FAI) National under 12 PAN Disability Football Festival which took place on Saturday February 8th. Both countries have had a close working relationship over the past few seasons and run a joint programme entitled ‘PROJECT FUTSAL’ (http://www.welshfootballtrust.org.uk/ProjectFutsal1.ink).

Teams from Cardiff City FC and St Christopher’s School (Wrexham) were in attendance at the festival which was held at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght, Dublin.

Cardiff City FC’s PAN Disability coach, Josh Law was full of praise for his young team;

"The guys really have enjoyed themselves. They have represented Cardiff City fantastically well and worked hard in the process. Some of these younger players have had the chance to come over, some for the first time to Ireland and play teams they would not have the opportunity to play normally, so it is a fantastic experience for them"
