This academic year has seen more than 30,000 pupils participate in the Lidl Play More Football Programme.
The concept was launched in 2016 and has involved 100 secondary schools nationwide and trained 1,000 pupils to deliver weekly football activities within their school.
National Awards have been created in order to reward and recognise individuals and schools that have helped create regular opportunities to play football, delivered activities that appeals and breaks down the barriers to participation for young people who do not currently play the game and made a significant impact on the number of female’s that play football regularly.
