Will Cheshire is part of a new breed of football volunteer.
He’s not a coach, he doesn’t sit on a committee and he certainly doesn’t wash kit.
His exciting involvement in football revolves around telling stories about his beloved Abergavenny Town FC.
Whether he’s spreading ATFC love through the club’s social media accounts, local and national publications or their own website, Will has become pretty good at what he does.
Oh, and he happens to be an awesome photographer too!
He said: “When I first came here, there wasn’t a great deal of coverage in the local press and there also wasn’t a lot online.
“But I’ve tried to get more publicity for the club by reaching out across wales allowing other clubs that might not have the volunteers that are able to be in charge of the media side of the club to witness this side of the club.”
Can we just say that Will is an absolute diamond and is happy to help, lend support for anyone looking to do but of media things for their club.— EatSleepFootyRepeat (@eatsleep_footy) June 5, 2018

Since Will started showcasing his beloved club on the most popular platforms, the tiny Gwent club’s digital reach has gone global and its male and female players are now well versed in doing interviews, some of which appear in national magazines like ‘She Kicks’.
He said: “I enjoy the role and I love to see the enjoyment on the players’ faces during the games and afterwards when looking at my photos.
“Seeing the club feature in national papers and magazines is brilliant.”BE LIKE WILL. HEAD TO OUR VOLUNTEER HUB TO FIND A CLUB THAT NEEDS YOUR SKILLS
