Malpas girls recruitment

Developing the next generation of players

Developing the next generation of players

What are we planning to do?

We are setting up a new U6&7s girls football team with female coaches in a community first area. This is a new concept for Newport at this age. This will encourage girls to try out football for the first time and work as a team.

We hope that this activity will promote a healthy & active life style for the long term of the people involved. We are looking to upgrade the skill of our female coaches & managers on to FAW Level 1 courses and then to FAW/UEFA C Certificate to improve the coaching given to all our children. We would also be looking to train first aid and child welfare for this age group. We are always trying to develop and improve the quality of the club for now and in the future and to increase participation.

Why are we doing this project?
We have had interest to set up a new U6&7s girls football team from parents who wish to give their girls an equal start in football.
Malpas United predominately recruit and also play in a deprived area. We are an inclusive club and have many children from ethnic backgrounds who we hope will regally participate on our current teams.

One of our long term plans was to run a girls team and we are already working with the local schools in the Bettws and Malpas estates promoting girls football. Having these tools will help coaches enhance our projects. This in turn this will make sessions more fun and hopefully more new players will be attracted to Malpas United Girls FC.

We are asking you if you could help us to promote, support and give girls an equal opportunity to try out and play or develop their interests and skills through the medium of football at an early age.We at Malpas are always looking to improve the quality of coaching given to every member of our organization and always looking how to move the club forward and to establish Malpas United in to a front running and forward thinking club within the city of Newport.

We are asking for your support in providing a playing kit for the team;we are looking to acquire 10 girls and 3 coaches and would be in the region of £700 for:
Playing/training kit
Tracksuits
All items of clothing would have your logo on the kit; your logo would be on Malpas United Web page with a link to your web page, we would welcome any photo/in person opportunities to promote your business.
We would like to give every opportunity possible towards the U6+7s girls team, hence by hopefully working closely with a major business will go a long way to secure the grass roots girls football in our area for some years to come and be a front runner in Newport.
