Llangynidr JFC aim to grow after successful McDonald's Community Football Day

Here's a great opportunity to join an ambitious club

Llangynidr JFC delivered their annual football festival last weekend in partnership with the FAW Trust and McDonald’s.

The community football fun day marked the completion of a successful season both on and off the field for the South Powys Junior League club.

Event Co-ordinator and Club Secretary Clair Jones said “Thank you to the FAW Trust and McDonald’s for supporting us today, it’s been fantastic.

"The players, coaches and parents have enjoyed the whole season and this event simply aims to recognise their achievements. It is also an ideal opportunity for new players to get involved”.

FAW Trust Partnership Manager Andy Pask said: “The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere at Llangynidr JFC is impressive and the club’s structure and organisation enables these types of events to run smoothly, well done to everyone involved”.

A number of different activities took place at the club's home venue, Llangynidr Village Hall fields on Saturday June 17, including coaching drills, fun sessions and small sided games with each participant being presented with a recognition award at the end of the event.

The club are keen to continue to grow their numbers and would be interested to hear from any new players who would like to get involved.

Clair Jones offered an open invitation by saying “We are a small friendly football club who welcomes girls and boys of all abilities and we firmly believe in equal playing time for all players.

"Come and meet us on Sunday mornings, 10am until noon at the Village Hall”.
