The Wales star enjoyed seeing smiles all-round
Goal hero John Hartson enjoyed the Welsh grassroots experience in a tiny Mid Wales community.
The former Wales striker joined hundreds of young footballers at Berriew Juniors, as clubs from around the region took the opportunity to meet potential new volunteers and players.
McDonald’s ambassador Hartson met with hundreds of players to share his football experience.
The former Arsenal and Celtic star said: “The turnout was fantastic and there were so many kids with smiles on their faces.
"I was really impressed by the standard of the kids who took part in the skills challenges and they gave me a run for my money.”
“The enthusiasm of the volunteers was outstanding and I’m sure they will continue to go from strength to strength in the future.”
McDonald's franchisee Bob Beckett said: "Community Football Days are at the heart of local football and are a way of bringing together people of all ages.
“It’s always amazing to attend these events and it really drives home the impact that the McDonald’s Community Football Programme has on grassroots football.”
