Revalidate your Coaching Qualification for Free

On Sunday February 23rd & Sunday March 9th, North Wales will play host to the annual Regional Grassroots Coaching Conference to support all local grassroots coaches with re-validation opportunities and additional information to support on-going personal development.

This is a free opportunity for all Level One (Football Leaders Award) and Level Two (FAW C Certificate) holders to attend a local event in order to attain those much required FAW Coach Education Revalidation Hours.

As in previous years, the event is expected to be a huge success and the demand to attend remains high for local coaches involved at grassroots level. To facilitate the conferences all FAW Academy programmes and many Area Association grassroots games programmes will be suspended to give coaches the opportunity to attend this revalidation workshop and celebrate local success over the previous 12 months. Please Check with your Local League for further details

  • North Wales Coast Football Association, 23rd.February 2014, Llandrillo College

  • North East Wales Football Association, 9th March 2014, Glyndwr University (Catrin Finch Centre)

Over 300 local coaches have attended the event in recent years, which has seen guest speakers include English Premier League Academy Coaches (Liverpool FC & Stoke City FC), Cardiff City Football Club 1st Team Staff and Former European Cup Winners (Phil Neal). This year we are delighted to announce the attendance of two men who have had a great impact on our national game.

On Sunday March 9th at Glyndwr University Sports Complex (Catrin Finch Centre) former Welsh International and FAW/UEFA A Licence holder Clayton Blackmore will be in attendance to deliver age appropriate coaching sessions and discuss his journey through the professional game at clubs such as Middlesbrough and of course being a part of Sir Alex Ferguson's squad at Manchester United. This will also be a great opportunity for local coaches to quiz the current Manchester United U16s Academy Coach on his methods of delivery with the present generation of players and of course on his time in the WPL with Bangor City & Porthmadog as player-manager.

Prior to Clayton's appearance in Wrexham, Llandrillo College will host a man who has a wealth of experience within the English Elite Pyramid System as player and coach. Ronnie Jepson is our Guest Speaker on Sunday 23rd February at the North Wales Coast F.A. Grassroots Coaching Conference. Ronnie had a wonderful playing career with clubs such as Preston North End, Huddersfield Town & Burnley Football Club, before making a successful step into management. Ronnie currently holds our FAW/UEFA PRO Licence and has managed such clubs Gillingham & Bury Football Club.

Please see below for all applications and we look forward to seeing you in attendance in our up-coming events
