Iconic Wales shirt signed by Ian Rush up for auction

On the 25 of September the Welsh Football Trust is offering for auction an iconic Wales shirt signed by Ian Rush. This match-worn shirt was from the momentous game in 1991 when Wales beat Germany 1-0 with Ian Rush scoring the winning goal. Ian has kindly donated his shirt to raise money for the Level Playing Field campaign, for which he is an ambassador.

The campaign targets young people on the fringes of society who find it difficult to play football regularly, or even at all. The campaign is designed to break down financial barriers and encourage those with disabilities and members of the BME Community to play football with the aim of ensuring that every young person who wants to play the game can do so. The aim is to provide children with the chance to improve their fitness, gain confidence, learn discipline and give them the sense of belonging that playing for a team can engender. The campaign will provide children in Wales with a Level Playing Field to help them shape their lives on and off the pitch.

Thanks to Ian Rush we are able to offer this great piece of memorabilia for auction at the Introbiz Business Event in Maddisons, Cardiff on Thursday the 25th September. If you would like to attend the auction then tickets can be purchased at www.introbiz.co.uk. Alternatively please contact Rachel on [email protected] or 07880358384 to make a bid and help raise funds for this fantastic cause.
