Want to develop the next Wayne Hennessey? Apply for our FAW Goalkeeper C Certificate course

Any goalkeeper coaches aspiring to develop their skills and knowledge can now sign-up for the FAW Goalkeeper C Certificate course.

The course will kick-off in July 2020 with a series of online theory sessions and will, conditions permitting, conclude in February 2021, with practical days at either Dragon Park, Newport, Colliers Park, Wrexham and Richmond Park, Carmarthen, depending on each candidate’s location.

The FAW Goalkeeper C Certificate course is designed to develop coaches’ ability to plan, prepare, deliver and reflect on sessions.

Every coach accepted onto the course will be supported through online theoretical work and, when the time is right, practical sessions and a venue of their choice.

They will also benefit from on-course mentoring sessions and distance learning, specifically for the development of goalkeepers.

Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey started his coaching journey during lockdown.
He said: “It has been amazing to see the other side of the game, the detail of the coach and the need to review, plan, reflect and deliver effectively.”
