Footie Families: How your 2 to 5-year-olds will fall in love with football

The FAW Trust are excited to launch, ‘Footie Families’, a free online programme designed to encourage families to engage in fun activities that will help develop children’s fundamental movement skills.

Mae CBDC yn gyffrous i lansio ‘Pêl-droed Teuluol’, rhaglen ar-lein am ddim wedi’i ddylunio i annog teuluoedd i gymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau hwyliog fydd yn helpu datblygu sgiliau symud sylfaenol plant.

Footie Families: Introduction
Footie Families: Introduction

The early childhood multi-skill programme for children aged 2-5 years, to experience alongside their parents or guardian, currently features four different fun and engaging sessions you can emulate at home, which centre on fairy-tale themes, including ‘Pirate Shore’ and ‘Magical Castle’, that can be accessed here.

The FAW Trust recognise the importance of supporting young people in developing a broad range of foundational skills for a physically active future, as these skills are essential for children’s participation in physical activity throughout life.

During these summer months, the FAWT hopes that families can use the brilliant and inclusive game of football to help develop their young children’s physical literacy and develop a collection of skills such as balancing, jumping, throwing and kicking.

Mae’r rhaglen aml sgil ar gyfer plant rhwng 2-5 oed, i wneud ar y cyd gyda’u rhieni neu warchodwyr, yn cynnwys pedwar sesiwn hwyliog a deniadol y gallwch chi wneud adref wedi’i seilio ar themâu straeon tylwyth teg, gan gynnwys ‘Traeth y Môr-ladron’ a’r ‘Castell Hud’, a gellir gweld yr adnoddau yma.

Mae Ymddiriedolaeth CBDC yn adnabod y pwysigrwydd o gefnogi pobl ifanc i ddatblygu amrywiaeth o sgiliau sylfaenol ar gyfer dyfodol corfforol actif, gan fod y sgiliau hyn yn hanfodol i blant gymryd rhan mewn gweithgaredd corfforol drwy gydol eu bywyd.

Yn ystod misoedd yr haf, mae Ymddiriedolaeth CBDC yn gobeithio y gall teuluoedd ddefnyddio pêl-droed i helpu datblygiad llythrennedd corfforol plant ifanc a datblygu casgliad o sgiliau megis cydbwysedd, neidio, taflu a chicio.
