Football Fun at Llandudno Soccer Camp

To celebrate Wales hosting this year’s UEFA Super Cup Final on Tuesday 12th August, SC Soccer Coaching got into the spirit and brought a little football fever home thanks to the Vauxhall Fun Football programme.

SC Soccer Coaching, in partnership with the FAW and Vauxhall, hosted a 2 day soccer camp in the hope of finding the Welsh football stars of tomorrow. The camp, which took place on Thursday 24th & Friday 25th July 2014 at Ty Hapus Community Centre in Llandudno, from 9am to 5pm each day, provided an opportunity for boys and girls of all abilities to play the game in a safe, fun, learning environment.

Football Association of Wales accredited Organisation, SC Soccer Coaching, follow the FAW’s strict guidelines to ensure the highest levels of coaching and child safeguarding are maintained.

Shane Cartwright said: “To celebrate Wales hosting the UEFA Super Cup Final, we invited players aged 4 to 12 to come along for £5 a day and share in the excitement of our very own event. There were certificates and medals for all participants at the end of the week as well as spot prizes for those players who demonstrated good sportsmanship and fair play. I think it’s crucial that we encourage these youngsters and nurture their talent, and, who knows, they may one day emulate Gareth Bale and play in a UEFA competition themselves!”

Vauxhall Managing Director, Duncan Aldred, said; “We are very excited about playing our part in the Fun Football Programme. “From the beginning of our sponsorship we have been committed to supporting football from the grass roots through to the national senior team and it is vitally important for the future of the game in Wales that we support the young talent with such opportunities.”
