Job Title: Player Development Administrator

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Contractual Status: Permanent – subject to probationary period

Salary: Competitive


The FAW Trust is the body responsible for football development in Wales. We are seeking to appoint a reliable and conscientious person for our busy office based at Dragon Park, Newport.


The FAW Trust is seeking a full time Player Development Administrator for its National Football Development Centre, Dragon Park, based in Newport.

Purpose of the Job

To administer the programmes that support the future success of National Teams within Player Development

Key competencies

 Experience of Microsoft applications, for example Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint are essential
 Experience of data entry and databases.
 Excellent organisational and communication skills.
 Demonstrate attention to detail
 Demonstrate flexibility.
 Must be self-motivated.
 Strength in planning and time management
 Strong customer focus
 Ability to multi-task
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 Show willingness to learn.
 Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.
 The ability to work outside of normal working hours including weekends
 A willingness to travel internationally if required

Professional Qualifications

 A minimum of GCSE standard is required but ideally educated to degree level – or appropriate experience
 Skilled in E-Literacy and competency in developing, administering and using PC and associated systems (e.g. Microsoft Office) and social media, to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information.

Role specific Requirements:

 Spoken and written Welsh are desirable
 A full driving licence is essential

Travel may be required from time to time throughout Wales.
Evening and weekend working may be required from time to time.
