Job Title: Coach Education Administrator

Hours of Work: Full Time
Contractual Status: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months duration to cover maternity leave – subject to probationary period
Salary: Competitive (plus benefit package)
Location: FAW Trust Head Office – Dragon Park - Newport


The FAW Trust is the body responsible for football development in Wales.
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, conscientious and dedicated person to cover the Administration function within the FAW Trust Coach Education Department – covering maternity leave for a 12 month period.
The FAW Trust has its busy Head Office based at Dragon Park, Newport.


The Coach Education Administrator has a responsibility for supporting the delivery of the coach education strategy objectives

Purpose of the Job

To administer the production of high quality learning resources and training courses at Levels 1-3 and to ensure that FAW courses maintain accreditation to the UEFA Coaching Convention

Key competencies

• Experience of Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are essential
• Experience of data entry and databases
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Strengths in planning and time management
• Strong customer focus
• Ability to multi-task
• Demonstrate flexibility
• Must be self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Show willingness to learn
• Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous
• The ability to work outside of normal working hours including some international travel

Professional Qualifications

• A minimum of GCSE standard is required but ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
• Skills in E-literacy and competency in developing, administering and using PC and associated systems (e.g. Microsoft Office) and social media, to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information

Principle Accountabilities

• Administration for Coach Education Programmes at Levels 1-3
• Coordinate coach education facilities across Wales
• Administrate applications for all courses at L1 L2 and L3
• Supply resources for tutors delivering courses
• Leading the administration process for all revalidation
• Being available to support the other technical teams’ administrators during busy periods of coach education
• Fulfil various roles and responsibilities of the organisation as and when required
• Any other work requested by the L2 Coach Education Manager and Head of Coach Education

Role specific Requirements

• Spoken and written Welsh are desirable
• A full driving licence is essential.
• Any other work requested by the L2 Coach Education Manager and Head of Coach Education
