County in the Community

This summer Newport County worked in partnership with the Welsh Football Trust to deliver a soccer camp at Whiteheads Sports and Social. The camp was aimed at getting boys and girls engaged in footballing activities all based around the UEFA Super Cup which was staged at Cardiff City Stadium.

The camp was a great success with 42 players attending the two days. The players had great opportunities to learn new skills, get professional coaching and perform skills in games just like Ronaldo and Bale in the Super Cup.

All players also took part in our Super Cup quiz which taught them about the history of the UEFA Super Cup.

At the end of the two days all players had the chance to meet, question and get merchandise signed by our Academy Manager and First Team Coach Michael Flynn.

County in the Community would like to thank Welsh Football Trust and Whiteheads for their support in delivering this great event.
