Coach Education, I.T Support

The Welsh Football Trust I.T. Drop In Centre’s 2016.

The Launch of the New FAW Level 1 Online Courses is a landmark in the FAW Coach Education History. The online courses provide a unique learning experience for coaches looking to become qualified coaches in Wales. However the Welsh Football Trust understand this could also be a daunting time for some people in the local communities of Wales because of various reasons.

• 18% of people aged 18 and over reported that they never had the confidence to use the internet..

• 20% of Internet users felt more comfortable to access the internet within a public place. (e.g. library, café or community centre)

The Welsh Football Trust have established regional internet drop-in center’s across the opening months of our new awards, to support those who require additional support in accessing our new awards and completing their online tasks.

The Drop In Centers will provide the local pool of community coaches with support with the transition. The center’s will have fully qualified staff to help coaches who are not I.T. Literate, don't have access to internet at home or access to a laptop or computer. Coaches will be guided if necessary through registering, payment, access and completing our online modules, even setting up an email address if needed.

On completion of the online modules the coaches will be given information about courses in the area where they can gain future support and education about I.T. Literacy.
