WHERE JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUBS IN WALES CAN GO FOR HELP IF THEY NEED IT
Here's an update of some of the support available for junior football clubs, across Wales...
BE ACTIVE WALES FUND
The 2nd phase of Sport Wales’ COVID-19 support fund will be open from Tuesday 7th July. The Be Active Wales fund has two main purposes:
1. To Protect: Providing financial support for organisations that are in immediate financial risk or danger. Clubs can apply for up £5,000 (minimum £300) to help with revenue expenditure on:
Rent, Utility costs, Insurances, Facility or equipment hire (where there is a fixed cost)
2. To Prepare: Providing financial support to help prepare organisations to re-start their activity or grow participation.
The Be Active Wales Fund is available to clubs or organisations delivering community sport and physical activity. Its priority at present is to protect or prepare organisations following the Coronavirus lockdown.
To support football clubs in understanding how to apply and what type of applications would be eligible, we will be hosting a Be Active Wales Fund webinar on Monday 6th July at 6pm.

COVID-19 IMPACT SURVEY
We have established a COVID-19 Impact Survey to ensure we have an accurate picture of the impact of COVID-19 on football communities, helping us to determine the appropriate future action to support the game at all levels across Wales. The survey will also act as a pre-requisite for football clubs and organisations wishing to apply for support through the Be Active Wales Fund administered by Sport Wales that will be available from July 2020.
Please complete all relevant sections of the survey to provide us with as much information as possible on the impact of COVID-19 on your club. This information will help us review your club's current situation and future plans in order to assess whether an application through the Be Active Wales Fund would be appropriate.

The FAW have continued to work with Welsh Government and Sport Wales to develop an overall approach for the return of football in Wales. Club training is still prohibited under the current suspension of all domestic football.
We will be hosting a webinar on Monday 13th July to share more information on protocols, safety measures and the impact of Welsh Government’s latest announcement on the return of football activity.

CLUB SUPPORT PODCAST
We have developed a series of podcasts that will showcase fantastic examples across a range of club areas from clubs in Wales but also from further afield that will help your club with ideas and insight into how you can improve. The podcasts will also focus on how clubs are engaging with their members and adapting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
