Central Wales Vauxhall Summer Football Fun

To celebrate Wales hosting this year’s UEFA Super Cup Final, Llansantffraid Village Youth Development held football camps at the Recreation Field, Llansantffraid on the 12th.and 13th.of August.

The camps were held in partnership with the FAW and Vauxhall, and provided an opportunity for boys and girls of all abilities to play the game in a safe, fun, learning environment under the supervision of fully qualified and CRB checked coaches.

Mike Digwood said: “To celebrate Wales hosting the UEFA Super Cup Final, we invited players from U8 to U15 to come along and share in the excitement of our very own event. Over the two days we had a total of 57 players attending and a great time was had by all. We thank Llansantffraid Village FC for the use of their facilities and Vauxhall for their continued support of grassroots football. We hope others will follow their example as this is where our future stars will come from.”

Vauxhall Managing Director, Duncan Aldred, said “I think it’s crucial that we encourage these youngsters and nurture their talent, and who knows, they may one day emulate Gareth Bale and play in a UEFA competition themselves! We are very excited about playing our part in the Fun Football Programme."
“From the beginning of our sponsorship we have been committed to supporting football from the grassroots through to the national senior team and it is vitally important for the future of the game in Wales that we support the young talent with such opportunities.”
