The event was held at Newtown Football Club which boosts tremendous on and off the field facilities which helped make the event so successful.

The morning’s programme was delivered by Gareth Davies and Matthew Clement (WFT FDO’s). Both were extremely praising of the candidates interactive and involvement on the day. Coaches present were complimentary of the day’s theme, questioning presenters to enhance their knowledge and understanding for the game.

Glyn Hodges, of Stoke City Football Club, was the guest presenter and delivered both theoretical and practical elements. His focus was how to structure sessions for the individual and groups which provided candidates with new, fresh ideas to take back to their clubs. He spoke about Stoke City’s philosophy and how player pathways are vital in the development of young players. To close the day Glyn took part in a question and answer session, speaking openly and honestly about his career as both a player and coach which spans over a 20 year period.
