The Event

The UEFA Champions League is the World’s most prestigious club football competition – “the best of the best on the ultimate stage”.

In 2017, the UEFA Champions League Final (UCL Final) will be the single biggest sporting event in the world, commanding a live global TV audience in excess of 200 million.

In June 2015, UEFA’s Executive Committee announced that Cardiff would host both the Men’s and Women’s 2017 UEFA Champion’s League Finals and the FAW was appointed by UEFA to deliver the events’ wide ranging requirements.

In order to deliver these requirements, the FAW has established a Local Organising Committee (LOC) – whose vision is based on three key principles:

• Engaging an entire nation;
• Delivering the best experience for all; and
• To leave a lasting legacy.

The Role

Delivering a successful event will not be possible without an extensive army of volunteers – for UCL Final 2017, volunteers (“Champions”) will play a hugely important role.

In total, as many as 1,000 “Champions” will be required to assist with the delivery of the events’ wide ranging obligations.

LOC is looking to recruit a Head of Volunteering to oversee and deliver this important aspect of the event.

How to apply

If you meet all of the above requirements, then we would like to hear from you.
