Bangor City Plays Host to FAW Grassroots Coaching Conference

Great day at Bangor with Osian Roberts and James Hunter

Sunday 28th February saw Bangor City FC host the FAW Grassroots Coaching Conference for the North Wales Coast Area.
In an excellent display of the strength of grassroots football in this area 88 coaches attended the event. The conference provided coaches the opportunity to re-validate current awards alongside developing their knowledge and skills with presentations from expert key-note speakers Osian Roberts and James Hunter.

Osian Roberts, Wales Assistant Manager and Technical Director, delivered on 'The Welsh Way' in the morning with a practical session from Gareth Owen, former professional footballer, on 'Breaking Lines'.

The day culminated in a theory and practical session from James Hunter, Academy Head of Coaching at Stoke City FC, on the 'Player of Tomorrow'.

A Club Spokesman said "it was a fantastic event to host here at the club, great to see so many coaches from across the North Wales Coast area coming to benefit from the expertise of Osian Roberts, James Hunter and the rest of the FAW/WFT Staff"
