6 Weeks of Summer Soccer Camp Success
Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th August saw Bangor City FC In The Community, the community partnership between Bangor City FC and Vi-Ability, complete its 6 weeks of mixed boys and girls Summer Soccer Camps at The Book People Stadium, Nantporth, Bangor.
The final week was another resounding success with fantastic numbers of children in attendance and playing football, over 105 players attended the 2 days in total, with over 60 children attending on the 2nd day.
Overall the 6 weeks of camps provided a fantastic way for the children to spend their school holidays, in a fun, relaxed and professional environment, giving them the opportunity to develop their footballing skills, make new friends and most importantly have fun. Delivered by our fully accredited community coaching staff these camps represent an excellent occasion for children to enhance their skills and abilities, have fun and engage within constructive activity during their school break.
For the 1st time this Summer Bangor City delivered the camps 2 days per week over the whole 6 weeks of the school summer holidays with fantastic results!! Across the 6 weeks a total of 714 young male and female footballers descended onto our FIFA 2* 3G pitch, a fantastic way for this facility to be used during the summer holidays!!!
Bangor City FC Community Officer Ethan Ray said “this was a fantastic 6 weeks of soccer camp fun here at Bangor City, to have over 700 children coming to our facilities across the whole of the summer break has been incredible, to engage with this number of young footballers and provide a positive environment for them to play the game, develop and most importantly have fun has been great, we cant wait for the October Half-Term to deliver another 2 day camp!!!”
