6 places where grassroots football clubs in Wales go when they need funding

Improving the places our children play football on remains one of the biggest challenges to grassroots football in Wales.

But if your club has grand plans to improve its facilities in 2019, here’s where you should head...

Sport Wales

Sport Wales provides funding, from the National Lottery Good Causes Programme, to grassroots football clubs, through its Community Chest and Development Grants.

The Community Chest offers to to £1,500 for community sport and physical recreation, while the Development Grant offers up to £25,000 to develop activity in communities.

Sport Wales has also been granted £5m of extra funding for sports facilities by the Welsh Government, to be allocated in 2019.
